I have been told that a paternity test that is done prior to the child being 3-6 months of age can cause a false positive outcome. What type of testing do you suggest? what about gaining blood from the umbilical cord?

At birth, blood from the umbilical cord can be taken or a buccal swab (from the mouth) may be collected from the newborn. They don't have to wait until they are 3-6 months. The buccal swab is painless.
