what are some reasons for skin tags near genitals

i have three very small skin tag looking things on my labia majora. the do not hurt, or itch or anything. they are just THERE. they are very very small. I looked up pictures of HPV warts...and they do not look like that...but i am scaring myself, because i do not know what they are. they are flesh colored, not "colliflower" appearance. but i read that HPV can be flesh colored too. I have had them for about three weeks now...and they have not grown in size. Please, advise me. I have been with my boyfriend for about 8 months now. And i have never seen anything like this on him...and if i am the one who had it first....if it IS something....i know i need to tell him. I am just scared because i dont know what this is...if it IS something. I've been searching the net constantly. and have been self diagnosing myself and scaring myself. I am a 23 year old female..in case you needed to know.
