I am trying to find out if I should be concerned. I have a knot on the outside of my breast. It has been there for a while but lately it has grown and is getting painful. Should I see a Doctor?

It sounds as it may be a boil.. (I'm not sure where the location is by outside of your breast) but apply a warm compress to the area several times a day, which should help it draw the pus to to open it. You can also take ibuprofen for pain and inflammation as well. If the compress doesn't help over the next few days, then do see your doctor, it may need to be lanced.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!

I think I explained it the wrong way the knot is on the right side of my right breast just underneith. It is on the inside of the tissue as well as the outside. It also has a small white spot on it. I have had a heating pad on it for two nights now and nothing changed with it. Does this still sound like a boil?
