I have a pea-sized lump on my inner labia that is hard and feels dry. little to no pain. Is this an emergency or should I wait to see my PCP?

You can wait to see your doctor. This is probably due to an infected follicle. Actually apply a warm moist compress to the area several times a day, which will help to draw the pus out in order for it to burst. Don't try squeezing this, as that can cause further infection. You can even sit in the tub with warm water. The warm compress will help with the pain as well and you can take ibuprofen. If you can't get it to come to a head to burst, you may need to have it lanced by your doctor. This is common and doesn't mean there is any STD involved or anything like that.
