What is the very best to use on my 8 year old's ...

What is the very best to use on my 8 year old's very swollen and painful mosquito bites on her face? She got them approx. 24-48 hrs ago. She says the topical benadryl hurts them and makes them sting.

Hi,

I have found that cortisone works best. My children do not like the benadryl either they complain of burning and continued itching.

Now this is one of them ol'wives tell but my mother used to put toothpaste on our bites and she still swears by it.

I have never had to use that as cortizone has always worked, with my boys.
