14y/o female pt blood glucose level was 480mg/dl. received 2L

14y/o female pt blood glucose level was 480mg/dl. received 2L iv fluids, blood glucose is now 240.
MD now ordered 5% dextrose to iv fluid. AS a nurse, should I question this order, and why?

Yes, you need to question it. The dextrose is sugar. You will want an IV fluid without sugar, or the blood glucose level will rise again.
