Standard treatment involves some or all of the following: chemotherapy (with or without stem cell transplant), transfusion therapy, drugs such as Erythropoietin (sometimes used with G-CSF to help it work better in increasing red blood cells), anticancer drugs, and sometimes antibiotics to fight infections. There are also several clinical trials to experiment with new drugs to treat this condition.
