jock itch?

Sent to Health Experts May 03 03:09 AM

this is my third time writing this question out, because i'm not sure that it has gone through. (when i click "my questions" it has nothing to offer).

i've been battling what i believe to be jock itch for the past few months. i've been using lotrimin ultra for a little over a month now, but to no avail. i've done suggestion i've read, kept the area as dry as i can, etc, but the rash is still visible and can be very itchy at times. another concern is that my scrotum is also abnormally itchy, which i've read is not a typical sign of jock itch, but everything else is pointing me towards jock itch.

any suggestions on a better way to medicate the issue, or any ideas what else it could be? also, i've heard the rash is recurring... is there any way to avoid this in the future? i'd rather not be battling this the rest of my life. thanks!

You can also use 1% Hydrocortisone cream to the affected area as described on the label beside the Lotrimin cream. Also take Benadryl capsules as described on the label until the itch stops. I still think it is a yeast infection. You may need to strengthen your immune system by eating a well balanced diet and taking enough rest to clear this yeast infection.
