going off birth control

i have been on the pill for almost 7 year, i went off in may and have recently begun to expierience breakthrough bleeding.   had my period and then a week later i had another small one (so it seemed) two weekd later it is happening again. my cycle was not like this before i started taking the pill, it was regular. also between the two instances of bleeding which w=are not my period i took the morning after pill. Is this normal?

 Many women have an extened perieod of time before they have a regular cyle due to the extreme hormamone changes when stopping.  Check with your gynecologist if it continues.

Response to nursehope's Post: i read today that brown breakthrough bleeding (which mine is) could be a symptom of an etopic pregnacy. is this possible?
