Question

Bypass Surgery

I am going in for triple bypass surgery. I am an absolute gagger, I am worried about the endotracheal tube. Help me put my concerns at rest.

Tell the doc about this problem ahead of time and they will be sure to numb the throat. Also, there is usally some intravenous sedation given so you will probably be asleep before they attempt to pass the tube. Good luck with the surgery-my dad had it at 87 years of age and he's 91 now!
