Does yellow nasal discharge mean you need an antibiotic?

It could mean that there is a sinus infection. It would be a good idea to make an appointment with a ENT (Ear, nose & throat) specialist to determine if you would need a course of antibiotics, which is the usual treatment, especially if the discharge is thick, yellow or green.
