Hello, I have a friend that hurt herself this week and refuses to go the hospital. It seems that she has injured her ribs and possibly her lung on the right side. She is able to walk around, but there seems to be a lot of pain. Last night she had swelling in her LEFT side after sitting up for a few hours, arm, hand and all the way down to her feet. What could be causing this since the injury was on the right side? And if she does have a punctured lung, is it possible that it could heal or should I expect to have a dead friend soon? Please help, I don't know if I should just call an ambulance or write her off.
