I have found no evidence that pinworms can use the blood stream for any part of their lifecycle. Their entire life uses the gastro-intestinal tract from the mouth to the anal opening. Treatment is straightforward and I imagine that she has been given some medicine? The rest of the family should be treated too.

There is no possibility that pinworms would impact on the PDA site. I hope you can be reassured by that.

Does this answer your question? Has she been showing any symptoms/murmurs that are causing you any concern?
