Good Morning, I have been getting a shooting pain in my ankle. It feels like an electrical shock. The pain last for seconds then goes away. It happens very interittently. Sometimes nothing for hours. Then sometimes every 30 minutes. What can cause this?

This is a nerve pain or neuralgia. Many things can cause this. A slight and unmemorable trauma higher up or even at the site can irritate the nerve to create this. Generally caused by inflammation of the sheath of the nerve, antiinflammatories like advil can help. They are best used regularly for several days to calm the problem and knock it out. If you try this and no avail after say 3 days, then you may want to check it out
