Question

allergic reaction

Sent to Health Experts June 24, 2006 2:19 a.m.

For about a year I have been having what seems like an allergic reaction. When it occurs my ears burn and itch and it feels like the glands around my neck fill with fluid. It lasts up to 20 minutes and can occur three to four times a day. There is no rhyme or reason for when it occurs. It is most often associated with eating although many times I have not eaten for hours when I get an attack. My internist gave me allegra, the ENT told me to see a dermatologist who gave me something topical and none of it is helping. Should I next try an allergist? This is driving me crazy! I'm ending up with scabs from the rubbing. Help!

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 42

Already Tried:
allegra topical cream

You may have environmental or seasonal or food allergies. You may need to be tested to find the agents that you are allergic to. Then you will get the allergy shots which is prepared for you for desensitization. I suggest to you to see an Allergy specialist.
