Could you settle a beer rewarding bet and tell me what the first designer trainer was? I think it's the Dunlop Greenflash, but a friend reckons it's the Adidas Gazelle.

Dunlop produced their first pair of athletic shoes in the early 1830's, these were also the first "trainers" ever produced. The Adidas Gazelle was first introduced in 1968.
