Where exactly is the hair?

It isn't unusual for 9 year olds to get pubic hair at this age.

Is this YOUR child?

Reply to Kerry's Post: This child is a child I have taken care of since she was a new baby. Her mother works. The child weighed a little over 2lbs at birth. A few weeks ago she seemed to be uncomfortable and I offered to apply some Desitin ointment and I noticed that she had hair growing from the opening but not pubic hair. I have not looked since but it has worried me. I wondered if at birth she had been given growth hormone or something. I have not mentioned it to her mother who is a single parent.
