Reply to Cheryl K.'s Post: No, I thought it could be the shoes I was wearing, but I feel it in sneakers, heels, and bare feet.

This can e a circuation problem or it can be a problem with the inner nerves in your ankle and foot. It may even be related to the achilles tendon in your heel so you should have further evaluation perfomed such as an x-ray or MRI to determine the extent of the damage. If it hurts even barefooted there is less of a chance of circulaton and more of a chance this is nerve related damage. Use some ice on the area, continue to wear loose shoes and folllow up with your physician for an x-ray or MRI to see what is going on. Also until then take some Motrin every 6 hours for the pain and inflammation and see if this helps, if so this is related to inner inflammation and possible damage to the ligaments and tendons in your foot.
