My vagina suddenly gets dry during sex

I am still pretty young, but have been having sexual intercourse with my boyfriend for almost a year now. Lately whnever we start, we can not finish because my vagina suddenly gets dry the whole experience becomes very painful. My boyfriend thinks this is because im not turned on by him, but this isnt the case. Do you know why this is happening and how i can prevent it?
