About 4 days ago , I noticed a lump that seems to be growing in my rectum. I immediately went and bought Preperation H, thinking it was a hemorroid, unknowingly, since I have never experienced anything of the sort before. Two days into the treatment, I do not feel any discomfort, however, the problem still exists. Am I on the right track?

Hello,

A haemorrhoid is more likely to cause bleeding rather than as a lump. And if does show up as a lump, there is usually some amount of discomfort with the bleeding.

You need to be examined by a proctologist as early as possible. The lump may be due to other causes like rectal polyps or a growth.

I hope this helps.
