I am a hairstylist, 6 weeks ago I gave a client a perm and two weeks later a foil highlight. Yesterday she came in and on the back of her scalp she had 3 distinct and seperate round bald spots - The hair was gone from the follicle. I have been a stylist for 24 years and have seen breakage or dryness from chemicals but never complete patchy loss. Could this condition be from the perm?
