i have kidney stone. had cat scan in er last week.

i have kidney stone. had cat scan in er last week. sent me to spec this week bcause stone didnt pass. surgeon needs cat scan at his office to do surg. $2000 out of pocket. cannot afford. is there alternative (pill) that will break up stone so it can pass. is there homeopathic remedy? what will happen if i cannot afford procedure, can it kill me?

You are going to go through some really severe pain if this starts to move or pass. Do not understand why your insurance will not cover this. There is no pill. There is no homeopathic remedy. There are ultra sound methods used to break up the stone in the hospitals short of surgery. Ask if this procedure will or would apply to you. Also, by law a hospital can not deny care due to not being able to pay. Check with them to see if they may have an indigent program that you may qualify for. Not to say your indigent but this is worth a try. Check on the sound waves used to do this also........!
