I am have a thick white vaginal discharge it started today ...

I am have a thick white vaginal discharge it started today and it is the day before my period is due, there is no burning or itching or anything like that. My last few periods were normal. I have been on the pill for about 4 years. Could the pill be causing this type of discharge change? I am on the combined pill ortho tri cyclen. I take my pill perfectly so I don't think I am pregnant.

Thick, white discharge is quite a common finding at the beginning and the end of your cycle.
Another reason why this is likely to be normal since it is not accompanied by itching.
If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
