Sent to Health Experts August 01, 2006 6:55 p.m.

I have been having pain in the lower right side of my abdomen (right below my ribs above my hip) for the last two days. The pain is not severe, but I would say that it rates higher than discomfort. It is hard to get out of bed I can not do any movement that resembles a crunch without experiencing pain? What may be the matter and what should I do?

Hello and Welcome to Just Answer.

I am going to need to ask you a couple of questions.

Have you felt nauseated or have any vomiting in the last couple of days?

Does the pain spread at all over to the naval or belly button and then down, kind of like having cramps?

When you lay in the fetal position, does the pain seem to be better?

On a scale from 1 to 10, give me the number of your pain now and then the number of the pain when this first started.

Is the pain a dull aching pain?

Does it feel like you can't stand up straight, you have to lean over to walk?

I know this is alot of questions, but I need to ask them in order to get the big picture of what is going on.

Thank you for your help.
