I dropped a 2 liter bottle of soda on my left foor ...

I dropped a 2 liter bottle of soda on my left foor ...it landed about 1" inch above my pinky toe (smallest toe). It has a small cut that healed, but now my foot is very swollen. DO I use hot or cold compress?
