My feet and ankles have been swelling terribly for the past ...

My feet and ankles have been swelling terribly for the past 4 days. It goes down somewhat at night but is back the next day. They are way more swollen than when I was pregnant. I am 46 and other parts of my body (ie. hands and fingers) are not swollen. What do you think could be wrong?
