I have a really bad case of dandruff. I'm using selsun-blue, the last two days i've noticed my glands are swollen in the back of my neck, is this normal? Also my left eye is hurting and red, irritated, and itchy.

You have conjunctivitis which is an inflammation (redness) of the lining of your eye caused by an infection, allergy, or irritation of your eye. You may be allergic to Selsun Blue. Use a different shampoo for the next few days to see if the irritation of your eye goes away. If it does go away, then discontinue using Selsun Blue shampoo and find another anti-dandruff shampoo with different ingredients.

Apply a warm wet compress to your eye three times a day. If your conjunctivitis is caused by a virus or allergy it will go away in about a week. If it is caused by a bacteria, then you should be treated with antibiotics.

Your swollen lymph nodes most likely are caused by inflammation of your eye (conjunctivitis). If they remain swollen longer than 4 weeks or grow larger than 2 cm, then they should be examined by your doctor.
