swollen inner lips of the vagina

i had sex last night for the first time in a while and my inner lips are still swollen. they hurt when i walk because my legs rub against it and it feels very dry. it doesnt hurt when i urinate though. the swellin seems to be going down very gradually. what could this be and what could i do?
