What could be causing muscle cramps in my legs, feet and upper body especially when I am lying down?

Hello

It could be as simple as slight dehydration. If you are not drinking enough water you could be depleting potassium and magnesium or calcium in your blood. This can cause muscle cramping.

I suggest making sure you are drinking enough water, get enough dairy, and if you don't, gatorade, or a calcium supplement may be in order.

Your urine should be clear to a very light yellow. If it is any darker than that, you are not getting enough fluids.
