childhood diabietes

My daughter who is 16 has round red marks on the backs of her thighs and one under her one breast. The one under her breast has been there for quite a while now the others on her thighs have been there a couple of weeks. They don't look good. They seem to be bruising alittle. Any suggestions. She does have a doctor's appt. however would like another opinion. Thanks
