Swollen and numb face

Sent to Health Experts August 27 10:09 AM

I am 29 years old and Friday night I went to bed like normal but woke up Saturday morning and my right top lip was all swollen and numb, I thought maybe I was bitten by a spider or something while I was sleeping so I took some benadryl and some Advil, 4 hours later, some more benadryl and Advil still nothing. So Saturday night(last night) I went to bed and woke up this morning and now it's even more swollen and now the numbness has moved up into my nose and right below my eye.........all just on my right hand side. But today, I have a little sore that is oozing out some sort of white mucas pus stuff....................I am planning on going to urgent care today but wanted to see what it is I have or if I should just go strait to the hospital.

Hello,

Going to urgent care is fine. There is no need to go to the ER for this. (in fact, check with your insurance to be sure which is a better option)

Without being able to see this it would be hard for me to make ab accurate diagnosis, but it coiuld be an insect bite.

Where exactly is the sore located?

Reply to Deborah's Post: It's located on my top right lip close to the corner
