I am 20 years old with pretty bad hearing. I went to MEPS(joining the USMC reserve) and I had to take the hearing test over just to pass.
My reserve contract is 6 years. How much worse would my hearing be 6 years from now? After my reserve time I want to join the Navy active duty. I am worried that after 6 years, including deployments and possibly being around gunfire, etc without hearing protection I wont be able to pass the hearing test and wont be able to join the Navy to pursue my career.
Should I be worried and consider skipping out on the USMC to join the Navy sooner?
