Hi

A haemangioma of the liver sounds bad but it is usually nothing to worry about and often an incidental finding during a scan.

A haemangioma is simply and abnormal collection of malformed blood vessels.

Usually no treatment is required.

How was your wifes detected?

Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: She had small spots of blood when she would work out on a recumbant bike in her panties. She was concerned because she had her overies and cervix removed after stage 1 cell change was found. So, there was nothing that should really bleed.

Hi

The haemangioma in her liver is certainly not the culprit.
It has probably been present - and doing no harm - for all of her adult life.

I take it she had a hysterectomy - you only mentioned cervix and ovaries?

Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: Yes, a hysterectomy. She has now had a MRI to see what else they can find. Just seems strange to have blood spots when there is nothing left there to bleed. Any Idea what could cause that kind of spotting?

Hi

Inflamation of the vagina ( vaginitis).

Can see little point in a MRI - a physical exam should be all that is required.
