My 28 yr. old daughter, the mother of 4, has this problem; 15 mos. ago, she went to a dermatologist to asperate a cyst behind her left ear. He numbed the area. However, she became 75% numb on the entire left side of her body from head to toe. She took an MRI of her head and spine and it came out clear. She took an eeg which also came out clear. No one has an answer for her. We need help, she feels like the left side of her body is whithering away. She now has also pain and swelling on her neck and head. She is also beginning to get depressed about her condition. She had to quit her job as she is a lefty and couldn't perform properly. please help us. thank you, her mom

I would strongly suggest that she have an exam by an ENT to determine if there was any damage to the ear and nerves in the area that woulc cause this problem.

Reply to Deborah's Post: my daughter already was seen by drs. who told her there was no nerve damage to the area behind the ear or the ear.
