Question

Tetnus Shot

Sent to Health Experts September 17, 2006 7:51 p.m.

I know this is gonna sound a little dumb, but I stepped on a pin like they use to pin new shirts together, it was in my carpet for a long time a suppose, it went about 3/8 to 1/2" deep in my big toe, (the side) should I get a tetnus shot or would the need apply, it has been somewhere between five and ten years since I have had one.

A tetanus shot is usually good for about 10 yrs. If you are unsure when you had it last, then it would be best to have one done just to be on the safe side. I would also make sure the wound is cleaned out and bandaged, if this hasn't been done so already.

Yes- you can use these two products to clean the wound and help it heal.
