I am training for a marathon and I notice that after I do a long run of 13+ miles I feel very faint and sick to my stomach. I also notice that my body looks as though I am covered in salt. I realize that I am losing sodium and I do supplement that through my runs using the power gels and also salt packets. I am drinking the right amount of Gatorade and I am careful not to drink too much. I am at a loss as to what I should or shouldn't be doing. I don't want to feel this way after every run. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
