my 80 yr old father is nasty, lies about all these trips he hasn't been on, won't answer any questions (such as when he will arrive for his Christmas trip at our house, hasn't sent christmas gifts to his grandchild and is mad that mom won't tell the kid he'll send a check the next day even though its been over a year later, is very confrontational, is very hyper about his latest hobby/activity, screams and yells on the phone, and when attempts are made to talk about these, the comment is let's just move on, we've talked about it enough, and threatened to share conversation with my child when i attempted to tell him the truth about why he can only visit for short periods, we can't take him out to restaurants because he abuses the staff, and we can't give him our car because he drives terribly. on and on.
