I just had a sonogram done and I am being referred to a specialist because my baby's body is measuring at 24 weeks and my baby's head is measuring at 22 weeks. My due date is Feb. 5, 2007. What kind of problems are they trying to rule out?

Hello,

Your OB could be trying to rule out microcephaly which is an abnormally small head caused by an overall reduction in the size of the brain, resulting from a developmental defect of the cerebrum.
