Hi,

The answer to this is no, while a lot of rumors fly around these products will not prevent or kill head lice.

There are medicated shampoos sold over the counter. Ridx is a good brand. Make sure you purchase a good medal fine tooth comb to get all the nits. Also make sure you treat everyone in the family. Washing bedding and dusting carpeting is also recommend. Anything that can not be washed in hot water should be soaked for 10-15 seconds in boiling water or sealed in a plastic bag for 10-14 days.
