MY son is twelve and his nails has dents in them, like kind of rough not smooth like mines. Is there something wrong or is that ok?

It would be better to consult a dermatologist for this and get further check ups, and a nail biopsy if necessary. Pitting of nails can be a sign of psoriasis, lichen planus, alopecia areata or eczema. Needless to say, it need not mean anything at all either, and is probably a hearmless conditon which will disappear with age. However, you need to approach a dermatologist for this. You may look up this site and the headings 'pitting' and 'TRACHYONYCHIA' and look up the figures given alongside:
