The first thing to do is to determine what is of interest to the
person (possibly a list), if necessary or helpful. The reason for
doing this first is because if one just goes looking for what pays
first and then tries to narrow it down according to interest, he/
she may either talk themself into thinking a specific career is
what they want solely based on the fact that it pays well or
could possibly be tempted to just choose what pays the best
regardless only because the pay is so good. Money
sometimes deceives us.
Once the interests have been determined, list them in order of
most important to least important. Then go do career searches
on these to determine what pays good out of those choices. At
that point, it will be a scales and balance method as to what
pays well with what is most desired. You should be able to find
a happy medium with one or a few things and eventually be
able to narrow it down.
