Question

I have had a large, hard, bump on the back of my head ...

Sent to Health Experts September 04, 2006 5:50 p.m.

I have had a large, hard, bump on the back of my head since I was little. I thought everyone had it. My boyfriend and I went to my vetclinic cookout the other day and we started talking about brain disorders. Stupid me brought up my large bump. So Dr. M had to fill it and when she did she jumped back and said "Thats not right." Of course everyone had to feel and all of them said they do not and does not know anyone that has that. I do understand you are supposed to have a tiny one. You would only know it was there by feel. I also found out a couple of yrs. ago I have a venous angeoma. The Dr. told me not to worry that is should be fine. But at the same time he said they realy don not know much about them. And one other problem I tend to have is if I was to move my head real fast I get an "electric shock " that starts out in one certin location in my head and slowly spreads and then fades away. That is the best way to discribe it. This does not happen often. I thought that was normal too. but its not. I think the bump is just me and there is not concern but the "electric shock" scares me. When it happens, its like I can't and I don't want to move my head till its over. It almost hurts but not. Thank you for your help. Heather Thornton
