is my sinus infection contagious?

I had a cold a couple of weeks ago. I have now developed a sinus infection, which is pretty common for my family.
I have plans to go visit my sister, but she says not to come if I have a sinus infection, cause if I sneeze on my hand, touch a door knob, then she touches it, she will catch my sinus infection.
My question is: Is my sinus infection contagious?

Hello,

Although sinusitis itself is not contagious, it is often preceded by a cold which is contagous .If you have active symptoms of cold , sneezing etc this can be contagious .
