I am having trouble trying to withdraw from Lyrica. I was originally prescribed this drug, along with Tramadol, to control nerve pain in the knees. I have since had both knees replaced. Now that I no longer need this drug, I have been cutting back slowly over the past two weeks. I am having trouble sleeping, but, more importantly, I am having strong nerve sensations, especially at night. I twitch, and feel the need to move almost constantly. Obviously, this is making the sleep problem worse. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi,
Lyrica withdrawal is not a common problem, adn the good news is that the symptoms of lyrica withdrawal like insomnia, headache, nausea, diarrhoea, flu syndrome, nervousness, depression, pain, sweating and dizziness do resolve over a period of 2-4 weeks without specific treatment,
I would advise doing a slower tapering in your case, and hopefully you should be fine with this regimen.
Taper 25 % dose every 1- 2 weeks,
regards
