I'm 30 yrs old, white female...I have had migranes in

Sent to Health Experts February 23, 2006 4:34 p.m.

I'm 30 yrs old, white female...I have had migranes in the past, but recently I am getting these chronic headaches around my eyes that move to my right temple...they are worse when I'm at the computer (I am a writer, so I need my computer). I do have a swollen sinus on the right side, but I've had that for some time. I also feel a bit of neck pain and sometimes my eyes feel a burning sensation. By evening, I can barely keep them open and I can feel a tingle in the veins around my temples. I have 20/20 vision and no medical conditions and no family history of eye trouble. I am on birth control and I take Advil often when I get these headaches. They're usually triggered by lack of sleep, watching TV too late at night, or recently, a harrowing trip to the dentist. These headaches last for DAYS and I can't seem to shake them. HELP!

Optional Information:

You seem to know the right things to do to alleviate your headaches...are you doing them regularly?

Sounds to me like the thing is that you need to schedule your activities better...find a more efficient way to get in all you need to feel okay.

What's the lack of sleep about? Also, computer work can dry out your eyes, breaks ARE very important...but you know all this! So what can you do?

Find help with your daily life scheduling and then commit to doing it. See your physician for a comprehensive checkup. Please get tested for diabetes as that can cause headaches.

There are many things happening here. A good therapist to help you focus on improving your daily regimen would be a good thing too.

I hope this helps. Best of luck! Barbara
