Sent to Health Experts April 19 01:50 PM

I have a recurring skin condition that I've never gone to a dermatologist about. I get pimple-size, itchy, red, painful sores that usually develop pus in them and then they dry up after a few days to a week, if I put hydrocortizone cream on them. It's always in the same area- on my lower, left back, around my waistline. It starts out very itchy, and I know that one or more of these "pimples" are going to erupt that day or next. I've had this recurring condition for 20 years now. What brings it on is: clothing, like wool or something itchy on my skin; sunlight or sunburn, tanning beds, heat, and sometimes stress. I get it throughout the year. Any diagnosis of what it is and what I can do to prevent it? Thank you.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 46

Already Tried:
Applying hydrocortisone cream on the bumps.

These "things" stay itchy and sore to the touch until they start drying up. Usually after a few days, when I apply the cream. They stay pretty localized- within a 6" x 6" patch of skin on my left back from the waist area up to under my bra line.

Hello, It is a possibility that you may have Shingle or an Eczema at that area. If " pus " develops in them you need an Antibiotic . For pain you can take Advil tablet. For itching you can apply Calamine Lotion to the affected area or take Benadryl capsule by mouth. For prevention you can take a multivitamin and mineral combination capsule daily , take enough sleep and rest , eat a well balanced diet to make your immune system stronger than before .

I suggest to you to see a dermatologist for a diagnosis and to get antibiotic prescription if the skin condition shows a sign of infection.
