My mother is a coronary patient with two stents inserted several months ago. She is also diabetic. Yesterday she complained of substernal pain and took three nitro tablets, and felt a little better. She could not sleep last night, and today she reports having difficulty swallowing. She refuses to go to the ER, and wants to wait to see her own MD on Monday. Do these facts indicate a need to take here to ER in advance of her Monday appointment? Thanks so much.
