This sounds more like a problem with your circulation then due to the cpap machine as this usually does not cause swelling like this. It could very well be due to the fact that you are now standing for long periods of time when before you were not. Sitting would not cause this but the long term standing would. It would be best to allow for periods of getting off of your feet. Try to wear some Treadsafe shoes that can be found at all Wal-mart stores as they will allow for better support for your feet and legs and this should help with the swelling and when you are not working try to elevate them as much as possible until your legs and feet get used to the change in posture. If they continue to swell for more than two weeks after the shoes and getting more used to the change then you should be seen as this would signify a problem within your circulation.

Yes light exercise would actually help to allow your legs and knees to become more accustomed to the amount of time you are spending standing now. If you had bloodwork performed a few weeks ago and everything is okay then chances are that you are just nervous due to the sleep apnea condition. The exercise, well soled shoes, and elevation when not working should allow your legs to become better able to withstand the amount of time that you spend on them. Also make sure that the socks you wear are not binding or tight in anyway as this can cause the swelling to worsen as well.
