Question

is it possible to consume any quantity of hgh without ...

Sent to Health Experts September 04, 2006 7:12 p.m.

is it possible to consume any quantity of hgh without a prescription? in other words, is there any validity to over-the-counter "hgh increasing" products? i'm suspicious that these products, although quite pricey, are just packed with energy boosting supplements but do not - and perhaps May not (in accordance to fda) - contain actual hgh. seems a little too good to be true considering hgh injections for shorter children come at $50,000 a pop. i am a 30-year-old woman just looking for something to "turn back time" a little, and curious if these products are false in claiming to contain hgh. if the answer is too involved, can you recommend some other good resources? thanks

First of all - IF they contained HGH - when taken orally the HGH would be destroyed by the stomach acid. (The same as insulin) - You correctly pointed out the HGH is given to children as an injection. If the hormone was active when taken orally, then there would be NO reason to give injections to children with growth problems.

DON'T waste your money on these products.

There is no way to "turn back the clock" - however, there are many ways to get in better shape and look younger:

Don't smoke - it is terrible for your health - and contributes to wrinkles

Avoid sun exposure (or use sunscreen) - UV light contributes to premature skin aging and wrinkles

Eat healthy

Get excercise regularly - walking and swimming are very good excercises - and they don't require a team of people.

Some resistance./weight training for toning of muscles

Avoid caffeine - it causes people to have sleep problems and lack of rest makes you look terrible.
