does dry mouth from medication cause dry socket?

I had 4 teeth pulled today. I have some phenegran that I use for when I get nausea, it does cause drtmouth or cotton mouth. Would it cause me to get a dry socket by taking this medicatio?

 Phenergan should not cause you to have dry mouth or dry socket.  However, SMOKING can cause dry socket and this can be pretty bad after having a tooth pulled.  If you are a smoker, don't smoke until at least 72 hours after having a tooth pulled.

You should also avoid sucking through a straw, spitting forcefully and carbonated beverages.
